IMAGE OF EARTH AND QUILL

Guest Poet Eli Tomer

A Trip

"I have a ticket for you too"
said my coat.
It waited a little
and when it noticed
that I remained dressed
with the gray sweater
It folded its sleeves
took a camera
and went on a trip.
It managed well
without me.
But it was cold too.

APW Questions:

We find this poem effective in its humor and clarity.

How effective is the characterization of the coat? Is it too corny?

Is this sufficiently developed? If you were to suggest that the author take this poem a step futher, where might he go with it?
