IMAGE OF EARTH AND QUILL

Guest Poet Nicholas J. Martin

Corked Bottle

Salty spray shoots swishing by
scripted essay for salvation
put in a bottle sent off

Corked and sealed by wax
sound proof-unread
it washes back to the sender

Nicholas J. Martin's Questions:

-Does the sharp image of a hopeless attempt of conveying a message come to mind?
-Are the stark images of a beach brought to mind?
-Do the terset stanzas work to seperate the poem?
