IMAGE OF EARTH AND QUILL

Guest Poet Hugh Kingston

Put a smile on your face

Why is it
that you
feel you must
see my happiness?

My happiness is found
not in my face,
but in my face
reflected

on the surface
of a calm lake,
with a fish swimming
through it.

Hugh Kingston's questions:

1. I've got a title this time, but does it seem a little too cheesy?

2. Does the first stanza put too much of a negative spin on it, or does it set the other two stanzas up nicley. I cant tell.

3. What did the fish image make you think of? I dont want people to think I'm a Jesus freak.

4. Does it need more?
